
Leadership Development Dialogue at AAU
The Leadership Development Dialogue (LDD) is part of Aalborg University’s strategy for competency development. The dialogue is held once a year and gives the leader and the leader’s leader an opportunity to step back from day-to-day operations, review status, and set direction for further development.

The purpose is to create a structured dialogue where you together:
- Reflect on the past year
- Discuss the leader’s leadership responsibilities and leadership conditions
- Connect leadership practice to AAU’s leadership framework
- Agree on concrete development priorities for the coming year
LDD is designed to support strategic leadership development by strengthening leaders in their current role while also developing the competencies needed for future tasks and requirements. The dialogue also provides an opportunity to discuss well-being, motivation, and other factors that are important for sustainable leadership.
